The company is engaged in the of investment in electricity transmission assets, basically in Bolivia and Peru, and provides assistance and consultancy services. These are Transportadora de Electricidad, S.A., which is the owner and operator of Bolivia's national grid, Sistema Interconectado Nacional (SIN); and Red Electrica del Sur, S.A. (REDESUR), which is the concessioner for the electricity transmission systems of Southern Peru. The company's aims is to capitalise as far as possible on the company's experience. The company was incorporated in the year 2001. It has its registered business address located in Alcobendas, Spain. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Red Electrica Internacional Corporacion, SA, a company based in Spain dedicated exclusively to power transmission and the operation of electrical systems.
