The company, a 100 percent formed by Korean capital, is structured in five independent divisions that commercialize different product ranges including audio-video DVD, television sets, videos, video cameras, televideos and audio equipment; white range air conditioner, refrigerators, microwaves, washing machines and vacuum cleaners; computer monitors, digital cameras, hard disks, screens TFT; printers, CD ROM, DVD ROM, audio equipment MP3 and NetScan cameras; telecommunications movable telephony, wireless telephones and faxes; and networking set top box and cable modem. The company's products are under the brand name Samsung. The company has commercial offices in Madrid. Its sales and marketing departments are also located in Spain. In 2003, the company reported a turnover of 822 million euros. The company is ultimately owned and controlled by Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., which holds 100 percent controlled interests in its capital shares as of January 2007. Samsung Electronics Co. is a global leader in the fields of semiconductor, telecommunication, and digital convergence technology.
