The company is engaged in the wholesale distribution of medical products. It operates from its headquarters which is located in Alcobendas, Spain. The company was created in June 1989 when six companies with more than 25 years of experience in the distribution of medical products in both the public and private health sectors joined forces. In the following years several other firms joined the company, extending and diversifying its product range. This made it possible to move into markets such as industry, research and analytical laboratories and diagnostic imaging. In 2004, the company became a single company bringing together the following firms: PACISA Y GIRALT, ENDOSCOPIA MEDICA, DISSA and LA CASA DEL MEDICO. It also has a sales and technical service network covering both Spain and Portugal. The company's divisions are: Laboratories and Research; Diagnosis and Treatment; Hospital; Rehabilitation; Ophthalmology; and Sanitary Services.
