The company is engaged in the provision of telecommunications services and networks. It has progressively consolidated and enlarged its service offering, which includes telephony, Internet, broadband and carrier's carrier. The company has its registered office address located in Alcobendas, Spain. It was incorporated in 1997 and has been operating with a legal form of a joint-stock company under the Spanish Law. In addition the company is also active in Portugal through its subsidiary companies. The company offers broadband solutions for voice, data and Internet traffic geared towards residential and business markets. It uses fiber optics as the main transmission element and complements it with other access technologies, such as wireless access. Its infrastructure is comprised of a backbone network, linking together the main cities of Spain; local access networks, which connect users in metropolitan areas among themselves and with the backbone network, and switching centers. The company is a subsidiary of Jazztel PLC, a leading telecommunications and data transmission carrier with its own infrastructure in Spain. The company - together with Jazztel and other subsidiaries - has developed an extensive Network in order to provide its customers with innovative broadband services supported by its own infrastructure, thus being able to guarantee control over the quality given to customers. This network is made up of four main elements, namely: The National Trunk Network; Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs); Local Access DSL Network and Multiservice nodes.
